For Adelyn’s mom, selecting the right venue was all about convenience and trust. “The North Hempstead Country Club is no more than a 10-minute drive for almost all of our guests, and it’s a place that is familiar and inviting,” she noted. “We know the staff well, and NHCC feels like our second home. We have known Taryn Matthees for years and trust her with putting together a wonderful event. She is meticulous and truly pays attention to every detail to ensure a quality experience for all.”
Bringing the Pink Bow Theme to Life
Embracing Adelyn’s “girly-girl” spirit, her mom envisioned a classic and feminine pink bow theme. “We wanted something classic and feminine but also age-appropriate, and a pink bow theme was therefore perfect,” she explained. After some research and collaboration with local vendors, the vision came to life.
The Cake Don crafted a stunning birthday cake, Mama’s Custom Cookies provided beautifully themed treats, Scabiosa Floral Design arranged elegant florals, and Eda Designs delivered breathtaking balloon décor. Allison from Eda Designs emphasized the importance of personalization: “Picking a color or theme that your child truly loves is key. The party is all about making them feel extra special, and incorporating those personal touches really brings the magic.”
Bows are a major trend for 2025, and Allison loves incorporating them into her designs. “I love adding bow accents to our décor—it’s such a cute way to elevate things,” she said. Reflecting on the event, she added, “My favorite part of decorating for this party was seeing how excited Adelyn was. It was also special because we had decorated for her older sister’s 10th birthday three years prior. Watching families grow and being part of their happiest milestones is something we are so grateful for.”
Entertainment That Kept the Energy High
A memorable party isn’t just about the décor—it’s about ensuring the kids have an amazing time. “We have worked with All-Star Party before (for our older daughter Aubrey’s 10th birthday at the same venue) and knew they would be able to keep the girls entertained and engaged. They are wonderful!” Adelyn’s mom shared. The entertainment kept the energy high, ensuring the birthday girl and her friends had a blast.
