Aaron and Jessica’s engagement session was everything a photographer could hope for—laid-back, genuine, and full of laughter. We spent the evening exploring some of the most scenic spots in Port Jefferson, Long Island, including Harborfront Park, the ever-charming Dog Beach, and the quiet docks that perfectly framed the coastal vibe of their story.
We lucked out with the perfect golden hour—warm, glowing light that made everything feel a little extra magical. I always aim for this time of day when scheduling engagement sessions because it adds such a soft, romantic feel to the images. And for Aaron and Jessica, it couldn’t have worked out better.
Port Jeff is such a gem for engagement photos. With the water views, open sky, and mix of textures from boats, sand, and stone walkways, it gives every couple a unique setting. Aaron and Jessica were totally in their element—walking the beach at sunset, and sharing quiet moments by the docks.
If you’re thinking about doing your engagement session in Port Jefferson, I highly recommend considering these locations. They’re beautiful year-round and offer so much variety in a short walk.
