I recently had the joy of photographing Olivia’s bridal shower at the beautiful North Hills Country Club in Manhasset, NY. Nestled in the heart of Long Island, the venue was the perfect backdrop for such a special day—elegant, warm, and full of light, just like the bride-to-be herself.
From the moment guests arrived, it was clear this shower was planned with so much love. Every detail felt personal and intentional, from the blush-toned welcome signs and custom seating chart to the lush florals and charming take-home favors. Soft pinks, creamy whites, and touches of gold gave the room an airy, feminine feel that matched Olivia’s vision perfectly.
Olivia looked radiant in a soft white midi dress with a delicate ruffle detail, her look elevated by glam from two talented artists: makeup by Alexa Genova and hair by Nicolette of Mane Tamed.
Olivia really enjoyed planning her shower with the women in her life. “Wedding planning can be overwhelming, and it often feels like all the pressure falls on you,” she said. “But working on the shower gave me the chance to create beautiful memories with my mom, family, and best friends. Moments I’ll cherish forever!”
Planning wasn’t without its challenges, though. “The hardest part of the planning process was letting go and allowing others to take the reins,” Olivia shared. “As someone with a type A personality, I love being in control—so stepping back wasn’t easy. While I wanted to be involved in every detail, I had to learn to trust that everyone had it covered. And they absolutely did—the day turned out more beautiful than I could have ever imagined!”
Every piece of this day was infused with meaning and joy, but what stood out most was the love Olivia has for her future husband, Matt. “I’m most proud of the life Matt and I are building together. I feel incredibly blessed to have him by my side through the highs and lows. He really does complete me and is the person I can always count on, my safe place.”
It was an honor to capture this milestone in Olivia’s journey. The laughter, the emotion, the beauty—it all came together to create a celebration that was both deeply personal and full of grace.
