Alexa’s bridal shower at The Piermont was an airy, elegant celebration made even more memorable thanks to the venue’s gorgeous natural light. As a photographer, I’m passionate about venues that offer soft sunlight streaming through windows—and placing the backdrop across from or beside a large window creates the most flattering, dreamy glow. The result? Portraits that feel bright, fresh, and effortlessly beautiful.
The room at The Piermont was the ideal setting for this—high ceilings, abundant light, and the perfect spot next to a broad window where our backdrop and tablescape shone in their best light. As a photographer, I always encourage sourcing venues with abundant natural light—and placing key decor near windows whenever possible. It ensures skin tones glow, colors pop, and every candid moment is luminous.
Guests posed for photos with the bride and each other all afternoon, and the entire vibe felt relaxed, celebratory, and stylish. Every detail—from the sweet signage to the delicate florals to the soft tones in the cake and cookies—was intentional but never overdone. It all came together to feel elegant, but still personal and fun.
