Some love stories don’t need a grand reception to be complete. Christine and Nate made their commitment to each other quietly — a private ceremony just between the two of them. What followed was something equally meaningful: gathering their closest family on Long Island to celebrate the life they’d already begun.

Their day started with photos at Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park in Oyster Bay, where the grounds offered exactly the right setting — unhurried, naturally beautiful, and tucked along the water.
From the park, the group moved to lunch at 2 Spring Street, a modern American restaurant in Oyster Bay that handles intimate gatherings with real care. Their private event spaces —their a sun-filled atrium and mezzanine — are designed to shift the feel of a meal into something more deliberate. You can also do a partial or full buyout of the restaraunt. For a group celebrating a marriage, that distinction matters. The food, the setting, and the pacing all worked together to make an ordinary afternoon feel like the occasion it was.

A note from Siobhan
There’s a version of wedding photography that’s all about scale — the grand ballroom, the 200-person guest list, the full production. And there’s a version that looks exactly like Christine and Nate’s day: a handful of people who love each other, a park, a good lunch, and an afternoon that no one wanted to end. Both are a privilege to document. The intimate ones, though, have a particular quality to them. Every frame has someone in it who truly belongs there.
