From High School Hallways to Forever: Allie & Andrew’s Wedding at Danford’s

Some love stories build quietly — in hallways, at gigs on Fire Island, over late-night conversations that don’t have a category yet. Allie and Andrew’s is exactly that kind of story: a friendship that grew so naturally into something more that by the time they had their first real date, their hearts had already known for a while. Watching it all come together at Danford’s on Long Island was one of those days that reminds you why this work matters.

Allie and Andrew actually went to high school together. They only shared one class and barely crossed paths. Years later, Andrew was playing a gig with his brother Fire Island where Allie and her friends were celebrating her birthday. This chance meeting set the stage for a beautiful friendlyship, that turned into an even more beautiful love story.

The Wedding Day

Their Catholic faith has always been central to who they are as a couple, and their wedding day reflected that. Mass was celebrated at Infant Jesus R.C. Church in Port Jefferson, a meaningful and beautiful setting for their vows before God, family, and the people who have walked alongside them.

From the church, the celebration moved to Danford’s, one of Long Island’s most stunning waterfront venues. The day had a warmth to it that felt completely in line with who Allie and Andrew are: romantic, genuine, surrounded by people they love.

Cocktail hour had a moment that set the tone for everything to follow. Andrew — a musician and singer/songwriter — stepped up and performed live for their guests as part of The Como Brothers. For a couple whose love story literally began at a gig, it couldn’t have been more fitting.

Behind the Scenes

The day was coordinated with care by Top Flight Hospitality, who worked closely with Allie and Andrew throughout the planning process. Their attention to every detail meant the couple could stay fully present — in the ceremony, in the room, with each other.

NuView Weddings was on hand to capture it all on film alongside the photography. If you’re planning your own day and considering adding video, their luxury wedding video packages are worth a look.

“She’s also very funny & has the biggest heart. I’m the luckiest.”
