There’s a version of sixteen that lives in soft pink, in the weight of a marquee light, in the kind of room where every detail is chosen with intention. Talia’s Sweet Sixteen at Bayberry in Islip was exactly that.

Talia’s celebration was styled around the LoveShackFancy aesthetic. Wander Walls Event Design kept the romantic and feminine touches throughout the room. Pink and white balloon arrangements cascaded from a custom floral backdrop, offset by eucalyptus and garden roses that softened the whole composition. At the center of it all: a glowing marquee “16,” lit up and anchored by clusters of balloons at every angle. The result was the kind of installation that stops you at the door.

Bayberry, a local seafood and seasonal American restaurant tucked into the heart of Main Street in Islip, made a genuinely beautiful backdrop for Talia’s party. The tile floors, the warm interior light, and the coastal charm of the space all played into the softness of the theme without competing with it.
The energy in that room from the moment guests walked in was something. Friends arriving to a space that had clearly been built for them. The dance floor stayed full, the kind of full where you stop noticing the edges of the room and just feel the movement of it. What made this one particularly meaningful is that this family isn’t new to my camera. I’ve had the privilege of being there for more than one milestone with them. Getting to watch a family grow through all these beautiful celebrations is the best part of this work. Here’s to many more!
